i have a 40g tank for my snake and currently- just have a heat lamp over top- cave- water bowl and jungle woodchips at the bottom with a few acessories. But i v seen other people tanks and they put carpet at the bottom of the tank instead and other things. what do you reccomend for a perfect setup?

Lol. This is gonna sound REALLY wierd. But will my Carpet python eat a baby bird?

Just for something different

I have a pet carpet python- but lately its been getting warmer so i ve been turning the air con on. To keep her warm- would an artificial Electronic heat rock be sufficient for her to lie on while my aircon is on? I dont want her light on while i sleep. (air con stays on while i sleep)

It was 82 degrees yesterday- but I left the lamp and heating pad on and he hasn t gone in his hide box now for a day or two. He sits in a corner next to his water bowl and sleeps it seems (I m not really sure if he is- he s breathing- but no tongue flicking and he stays perfectly still). I fed him about four days ago- his humidity wavers between 50 and 70 and the temp of his tank is around 80.
Help?

There some beautiful snakes- and i want to get some- but i dont know wether they Legal or not ?

Also are they poisonous ? I dont want to get myself killed because they look really good. But im sure there will be Anti Poison if they were poisonous. :)

If they poisonous- can there theeth be taken out ?

If i do get one- how big place do they need ?

Do they eat a lot ? What ?

How much are they ?

If anyone know a website (questions like this) about Albino Python or something like it (really nice) id be happy to check that out. :)
Oh- and which one would you prefer ?
Male or Female one ?
Why ?

I have a ball python and none of my family will touch him.
I don t get what s so terrifying about a snake.
The domestic ones rarely bite and are very calm (usually).
I think he s adorable and sweet. I like mammals too- like gerbils- but I don t get what s so scary about a snake.
If you re a snake fearer- please share why.
Thanks! =]
I know my snake could bite and kill- the possibility is incredibly low though. He s too small anyway. He could not possibly kill me.
And what kinds of snakes are loose in the Everglades? Aren t those aligators? I never hear about people being eaten by snakes- except on Nationa; Geographic in remote places in Africa and whatnot.
Can we get a little mature with the answers and not be COMPLETELY rude?
