What is a better snake substrate? zilla douglas fir bark? or repti bark?why?

(Im getting a ball python and a corn snake..)

I have a bearded dragon about 10 inches away from his aquarium with a piece of cardboard blocking the view from each other
Is my bearded dragon safe from the internal parasites or should I move one of them away?
I don t think it s viral-the doctor said everything is good and most likely gastrointestinal(at least i think that s what it s called) problem which he stated could have came from a number of things-even the mice I feed him
Yes I wash my hands before and after holding each reptile-it sometimes gets a little annoying but hey-you do what you have to do hehe

im curious if there is any other reptile i can mix with a baby ball python i have him in a 40 gal tank and its a baby so its suficent in space for a little whiles but i want to put something else in there like a bearded dragon or another reptile that lives in the same kind of environment any ideas????
