I have never owned a snake or any other reptile before and I am definatly getting one but I don t know which one to get. I am really fascinated in them and I love to observe their behaviors. I want a good beginner snake that will be very rewarding to own. I don t want a Ball Python- Corn Snake- or Garter Snake though. Can somebody please help me out?

I dont know why- but mine is NORMAL. :D whats yours?

I m not thinking that i want a snake right NOW- just for future reference- i wanna ask... should i get a corn snake or a ball python? i ve handled a ball python before and i really like them- but are corn snakes as "friendly-" so-to-speak- as ball pythons?i ve never had a reptile before...i ve read that it s easier to get corn snakes to eat- so that s a plus for me.

do they both eat about the same amount? do they both defecate about the same amount? are there some reasons i should NOT get a corn snake? thanks =)

Hey guys-
So I am finally getting rid of all my snake setups and building a rack. I have all my wood cut- and measurements made and am ready to start building this thing.
Here is my problem. I am using MDF board which is like melamine.. but not. It doesn t have the plastic coating on it.. so I know I need to seal it. The problem that I am having is that the paint store guy said the deck stains have a mildew killing agent in them that can kill your snake.
So he turned me on to a water-born polyurethane which is a clear semigloss.. It is made by "Cabot". Can I use this stuff?

Ingredients: Water- Polyurethane resin- N-Methyl-2-- Purrolidone- triethyl amine and Amophous Sillica.

Thank you for your help

Whats a better substrate for a ball python? Aspen- cypress- or repti-bark?

Why?

my ball python has only eaten alive how do i switch to dead???????
i heard chicken broth but idk how do i do it
or would it be easier to feed it live prey
